Hello all,
Starting up the club after the Christmas break has been a bit trying at times. After seeing what worked (and most importantly what didn't) I've decided to make our meetings for every week on Thursdays, anytime from 7-10pm. That way we can avoid confusion as to our meeting time. Also, I have taken advantage of a useful tool put together by the newly formed World Crokinole League on their online community, hosted by NING, of fellow crokinole clubs across North America. You can find our club's page by clicking here or checking out the link entitled 'Flicks & Knips Online Community' under Useful Crokinole Sites, located on the left sidebar of the blog site. I hope that this forum can help foster discussion and more exposure to the game, fellow players and the growing community across the country. While I'm on the subject, be sure to make use of the other links found on the Useful Crokinole Sites section of the site. Not only have I learned more about the game, I have also received feedback and entered into insightful discussions with other players from different clubs through the use of their sites. Enjoy!

First meeting in Tea Room a success!
It was great to see people coming and going throughout the evening. Some visitors just wanted to see what was going on, others said they would be back next time. Keep spreading the word! See you next time.

Spreading the word...
I've been placing posters around campus, took out an ad in the Port Shorts, posted a thread on Big Red and will be advertising it on the community email in hopes that we will get the word out there about the club. I'm quite excited about the re-introduction of the club in prep for winter settling in. The tea room is being renovated into a nice and cozy nook, which will be pleasant to host our get togethers. And there's no cost for our reserved place of meeting! Hooray! If you know of people outside of town, feel free to have them come as the more people there are, the better!
